Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai, participated with great zeal to mark the 150th Birth anniversary of the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi.
The Mahatma’s philosophy of ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’ is held in high esteem by the school, and thus the academic year was begun by initiating the cleanliness drive “Swachhata Abhiyan on April 10 wherein students undertook ‘Shramdaan’ to clean their hostels, surrounding and the classrooms.
The school being a sports school, participated in sports competitions like IPSC (Indian Public Schools’ Conference) tournaments, CBSE tournaments and SGFI ( School Games Federation of India) tournaments in athletics, basketballs, gymnastics, boxing, archery, cricket, horse riding, football, shooting, swimming, tennis, volleyball and taekwondo.
Tree plantation and art competitions were held to spread awareness about the environment, while the CBSE – TERI Green Olympiad was held in the school on 16th October.
The school is now gearing up for the CBSE Heritaze India Quiz in November.
